E. Gogolides
Dr Evangelos Gogolides is a Chemical Engineer from NTUA-Greece, and holds an MSc and a PhD (1990) both from MIT-USA. His thesis work was on plasma processing and simulation, and he did post-doctoral research on microlithography with Michael Hatzakis. He is presently research director at NCSR “Demokritos”.

C. Riziotis
Dr. Christos Riziotis is Director of Research at the Theoretical & Physical Chemistry Institute of the National Hellenic Research Foundation. He holds a Ph.D. from Optoelectronics Research Centre, University of Southampton, UK. He received an M.Sc. in Electronics and Telecommunications and a Degree in Physics both from National University of Athens. His research focus on photonic materials, integrated optics, direct laser writing, optical sensors, telecommunications, nanophotonics, and quantum photonics.

Margarita Chatzichristidi received her B.Sc. in Physics, University of Ioannina in 1997 and her M.Sc. in Polymer Science and Technology, U.M.I.S.T., U.K. in 1999.

Dimitrios Tassis is an Associate Professor in the Department of Physics at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

F. Farmakis
Assistant Professor Filippos V. Farmakis received in 1996 his B.S. degree in Physics from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, the M.Sc. degree in Optics, Optoelectronics and Microwaves from National Polytechnic School of Grenoble, France, in 1997 and his Ph.D. from the same School in 2000.

George Konstantinidis received his B.Sc in Applied physics, University of Salford, Department of Pure & Applied Physics, U.K. in 1982 and his M.Sc in Solid state electronics, University of Salford, Department of Electronic & Electrical Engineering, U.K. in 1985.

N. Kehagias
Dr. Nikos Kehagias obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Physics from the Aristotle University in Thessaloniki, Greece. He continued his studies in Essex University (UK) where he got his Master’s degree in Physics of laser communications in 2003. He obtained his Ph.D. from the Tyndall National Institute/ University Colleague of Cork (Ireland) in 2007. Dr. Kehagias is the founder of the Greek start-up company Nanotypos. Since 2020 he is a Researcher in the Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology at NCSR Demokritos.

Od. Tsilipakos
Odysseas Tsilipakos holds diploma (2008) and PhD (2013) degrees from the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. His thesis focused on thermo-optic and nonlinear plasmonic components. He conducted postdoctoral research in AUTh and IESL-FORTH and has served as adjunct lecturer in University of Crete. Since 2022 he holds a Researcher position at the Theoretical and Physical Chemistry Institute of the National Hellenic Research Foundation.

M. Bucher
Matthias Bucher was born in Switzerland in 1964. He received the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL), Lausanne, Switzerland, in 1993 and 1999, respectively. The subject of his Ph.D. Thesis was the analytical charge-based compact modelling of MOSFETs.
